Rosalia Solorzano Torres is a native El Pasoan who has held academic, research, and administrative
appointments at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies at the University
of California San Diego, University of Colorado, Boulder, The Center
for Inter-American and Border Studies at the University of Texas at El
Paso. She is Visiting Faculty at the Chicana/o Studies Program at the
University of Texas at El Paso. Currently, she teaches at Pima County
Community College. Her publications include a co-edited introductory
textbook in Survey and Analysis in Chicana/o Studies, book articles and
essays in sociology and Chicana Studies, and U.S.-Mexico Border immigration
and Gender Issues. She is presently editing a collection of works for
an anthology about Chicana identity and sexualities.
